PARENTAL CONDUCT
As we've all seen in recent years, parental conduct at sporting events and practices can become a serious problem. While the number of parents who cross the line is relatively small, the Calabasas Raiders takes the protection of our volunteers, players and parents very seriously. We have a very low tolerance for inappropriate behavior.
Enforcement of this protection includes the following provision: The Calabasas Raiders Board of Directors may revoke participation or deny registration to anyone on a showing of good cause. Good cause will be determined by at least one of the following criteria: a. Physical or verbal assault. b. Providing false, misleading, and/or inaccurate information on his/her application and/or physical form. c. Failing to disclose a material fact regarding a physical or mental condition of an applicant. d. Forging any information or signature or document which is part of the registration process. e. Providing an incomplete application for registration. f. Demonstrating behavior that has the effect of demeaning, harassing or undermining anyone associated with the Calabasas Raiders.
The success of our organization depends on a large number of people participating in the spirit of family, team work and sportsmanship. By necessity our coaches and other volunteers in critical leadership positions make many unilateral decisions with which some may not agree. Bringing complaints forward in a positive and constructive way is the right of everyone associated with the Raiders Organization. The proper approach for registering a complaint is to first bring it to the attention of the Head Coach. If satisfaction is not attained, the complaint should then be forwarded to the Athletic Director or any member of the Board of the Directors.
Any Raider player or parent who makes statements that have the effect of demeaning or harassing or undermining the efforts of this organization and/or its volunteers may be subject to action by the Board including revocation of their participation in Raider activities.
